Hello Scavengers and Raiders and other Astral Barrens Explorers,

We have a new update: Scorpion 1.2 brings another round of balance adjustments, quality-of-life improvements, and stability fixes.

Nomads have learned how to pack up more efficiently and no longer require a turn to do so and Cataclysms have been scolded to no longer permanently terraform your beloved terrain.

Nomad 

  • Nomad Cities now pack up instantly (they still require 1 Turn to Unpack)

Scavengers

  • Combat Summons no longer drop Looted Power

  • Dustweaver 

    • Distributing Wind - Changed from a Leave One to a Free Action

    • Distributing Wind - Reduced Cooldown from 2 Turns to 1 Turn

Conquerers

  • Added ‘Total War” which negates the Imperium Income Penalty from Unjustified Wars

  • Annexing a Pillaged Enemy Province now gives an amount of Knowledge equal to the amount of Gold it gives

  • Buff/Passive “Momentum”

    • Increased % Bonus from 20% to 30%

    • Now gives 1 Defense & 1 Resistance

  • Dustweaver 

    • Weave Momentum - Changed from a Leave One to a Free Action

    • Weave Momentum - Reduced Cooldown from 2 Turns to 1 Turn

  • Added prediction Text for the removal of Artifacts

  • Adjusted the start of the Cataclysm Events to reduce things that require Player Action.

    • The second intro event for Echoes of the Fracturing now only triggers once the first cataclysm hits.   • Golden Dragon “Purifying Breath” - Increased Spirit Damage from 22 to 30

  • Obsidian Dragon “Lightning Breath" - Increased Lightning Damage from 31 to 40

  • Fractured Dragon “Anti-Magic Breath” - Increased Physical Damage from 31 to 40

  • Unit “Wyvern Fledgling” - Now has “Lesser Burst”

    • 4 Range, Single Action 1 Turn Cooldown

    • Deals 15 Fire 1 Physical Damage to target unit

  • Unit “Sand Worm”

    • Increased HP from 120 to 130

    • Charge Strike - Swallow Whole now has a 60% chance to apply

    • Charge Strike - Swallow Whole will now only trigger if the worm hasn’t already eaten something

    • Magic Strike - Increased Damage from 13 to 15

    • Magic Strike - No longer has Breaching

Combat Map

  • Fixed an issue where Sunlight Weakness would be active in Combat Maps that were Underground/Indoors

  • Fixed an issue where the Warlord's Command cooldown effect was seen as hostile, which made the targeting previews red.

  • Fixed and issue where Sandstorm and other negative marker spawning spells showed Green hexes for targeting

  • Fixed an issue where Negative Resistance/Defense did not work

Culture

  • Fixed an issue where Nomad Cities would lose accumulated food after Packing/Unpacking

  • Fixed an issue where the "Capture Settler" and "Combat Result" screens appeared multiple times if a lone "Settler" unit performed auto-combat against an army multiple times

  • Fixed an issue where Transfer Throne Operations would not be blocked/cancelled when packing up a Throne City.

  • Fixed an issue where capturing a Nomad Throne City City Barge would not remove the Throne City Upgrades

  • Fixed an issue where Unpacking a City could trigger the “City over Cap” Penalty for a turn

  • Fixed an issue where Sentry Nests did not correctly unlock structures that Stone Walls would otherwise unlock

Fated Regions

  • Fixed an issue where Fractured Wildlife could still be affected by Unit Enchantments & Transformations.

  • Fixed an issue where removing Fractured Infestations in the Underground would still leave behind Sand

Events

  • Fixed an issue where the Sapped and Fractured: Aftermath event reward did not properly apply the Fractured Transformation to Wizard Kings.

Item Forge

  • Fixed an issue where heroes would get Cinderwind blast on their staves regardless of the staff

  • Fixed an issue where several new Pantheon Infusions did not have the correct Magic Material Unlocks. 

    • Infusion “Summon Spirit Hawk” - Required Focus Crystal instead of Astral Dew

    • Infusion "Defense Mode: Nullify" - Required Arcanium Ore instead of Archon Blood

    • Infusion "Subdue" - Did not require Archon Blood

Interface

  • Fixed an issue where it was not possible to change Teams of AI Players in Multiplayer

  • Fixed an issue where specific types of additional Income would not display in the Annex Province Breakdown

  • Fixed issues where Unit Enchantment Upkeep in the Enchantment Screen could be incorrect if the Enchantment targeted a Hero or Upkeep Modifying Traits were active.

  • Fixed an issue where Unit Tooltips would show Total XP instead of XP of the current Rank.

Text & Descriptions

  • Fixed a missing variable in the the “Fit for Extraction” event for Polish HIGH-40785: 

  • Fixed an issue where Unit Panels would truncate the Movement Points in French, Russian, Polish and Spanish.

  • Fixed an issue where several long named abilities would could each other off in Polish, Russian and Spanish.

  • Fixed an issue where Giant King names didn’t fit inside the Title space in Russian.

  • Fixed an issue where Debug text appears inside the tooltip from the last choice of "Reflections: Aftermath" event while having the Nomad city packed up

  • Fixed an issue where unit descriptions for Astral Serpent and Wind Rager mentioned Fighter instead of Magic Fighter

World Map

  • Fixed an issue where Fractured Units would appear in the Golden Ziggurat’s Guardian Event Pool

  • Fixed an issue where Seekers of Wonders would not spawn a cleared Ancient Wonder when players are in teams in the underground

  • Fixed an issue where the Forsaken Temple and Withered Tree Ancient Wonder could generate already cleared

  • Fixed an issue where the Barren Wellspring had an incorrect Affinity Requirement on the Restore Operation
