[Dev Note] Upcoming March Update Preview and Offline Mode Development Progress

Hello, Hunters.This is Kwang-Hoon Kim, the Development PD of ‘Solo Leveling:ARISE - OVERDRIVE’..It is now March, as the frozen ground thaws and a warm spring breeze begins to blow.We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the Hunters who continue to breathe alongside OVERDRIVE and provide us with your heartfelt feedback.Based on the precious opinions you have sent us, we have prepared various improvements and new content for this March update to make your play environment even more pleasant and enjoyable.We would like to guide you through the key details of the March update currently being prioritized by the development team, as well as the development status of the ‘Offline Mode’ that many of you have been waiting for.\[March Update Key Improvements and Additions]1. New Content and Weapon AdditionsNew threats to challenge your skills and powerful weapons to overcome them will be added.WoBL (Baran, the Demon King): A new workshop featuring Baran, the Demon King will open. Accessory Artifact sets of the same tier as the current top-tier armor will be added as clear rewards.New Sung Jinwoo Weapon: The formidable 'Demon King's Daggers' will be added.2. New Unique Artifact Effects (Active/Passive)To break the monotony of combat and enable more dynamic action, various unique effects will be added to Artifacts.Swift Steps: Resets \[Dash] cooldown upon a successful \[Extreme Evasion]Reversal: Allows a one-time reuse of the \[Ultimate Skill] after casting and significantly increases its damageIcicle Strike: Grants a chance to generate Ice Spikes upon hitting or being hit, applying \[Freeze] to the targetPiercing Thunder: Generates lightning in a narrow forward range when using \[Core Attack] or \[Chain Smash]Arcane Missile: Fires missiles when using \[Heavy Attack] or \[Weapon Swap], increasing all Elemental Status Effect counts (Stacks up to 4 times)Various other effects will be added to enhance the thrill of combat.3. Major Reward Balance BuffsRewards will be significantly increased to reduce the fatigue of repetitive farming and enhance the joy of growth.Instance Dungeon / Encore Mission: Increased acquisition of main weapon materials and boosted Clear Gold rewards.World Map (Gate / Dungeon Break / Red Gate): Increased Shadow Extraction rate.Increased drop rates for \[Mana-imbued Fragments], \[Pure Water], \[Mana Power Extract], and \[Fragments of Thought].Upward adjustment of \[Hunt Coin] acquisition.4. Hunter Balance and Combat Environment ImprovementsWe have noticed that certain Hunters are being prioritized solely for their efficiency, which is a situation we find regrettable. Rather than sticking to a fixed meta, we want to create an environment where a diverse range of Hunters can shine based on your personal preference. To achieve this, we plan to fine-tune overpowered abilities to better harmonize with others while buffing sidelined Hunters to encourage more varied team compositions.Hunter Balance Adjustments:  Lee Joohee, Min Byung-Gu: Increased HealingChoi Jong-In, Cha Hae-In, Mirei, Alicia, etc.: Increased overall Damage.Esil: Decreased Overdrive damage, fixed gauge errors, and buffed Exclusive Weapon performance.Main Story Combat Compression: To improve immersion and reduce unnecessary fatigue, the combat sections in Chapters 4, 7, 8, and 10 have been condensed.5. System and Convenience ImprovementsEasy Anti-Cheat (EAC) Removal: EAC will be removed to mitigate crash issues occurring during game launch and gameplay.Offline Mode Infrastructure: Prior to the official introduction of Offline Mode, we are adding foundational systems such as Account Save Slots (3) and an Account Deletion feature. Additionally, a function to toggle between Online/Offline status after logging in (starting in Online mode) will be implemented first.Various bug fixes will be carried out to ensure a smoother gameplay experience.\[Offline Mode Development Status and Future Plans]Lastly, we would like to speak candidly about the current development status of 'Offline Mode,' a feature that many Hunters have been most curious about and have consistently requested..The development team is prioritizing the phased rollout of 'Offline Mode' to ensure it is implemented without disrupting your current gameplay experience. Development is currently in its final stages, and we are conducting intensive internal testing to guarantee smooth performance in an offline environment.The first phase of Offline Mode will be applied with the March update.  However, since our project was originally designed based on an online environment, we intend to apply this feature in stages to ensure maximum stability. In this initial phase, an internet connection will be required during the initial launch to verify play files and other data. In the second update, we plan to improve and update the system to allow for full gameplay without any internet connection.The development team is dedicating all its resources to the phased completion of the Offlin

\[March Update Key Improvements and Additions]

1. New Content and Weapon Additions

New threats to challenge your skills and powerful weapons to overcome them will be added.

  • WoBL (Baran, the Demon King): A new workshop featuring Baran, the Demon King will open. Accessory Artifact sets of the same tier as the current top-tier armor will be added as clear rewards.

  • New Sung Jinwoo Weapon: The formidable 'Demon King's Daggers' will be added.
