A Message from the Developer ????

Hey everyone, Oleksii here, one of the creators of Rune Dice. First off, thank you all for the incredible reception this past week. Seeing rune dicers (yes, that's what we call you) jumping into runs, posting builds, and celebrating your wins has been the best part of launch. Now, onto the news...Classic Mode is on the way. This is going to be an additional mode where runs play out the way they do in most roguelikes - longer sessions, deeper builds, all three locations in one go. For everyone who wants to take a single hero on a full journey and see how far a build can scale, this one is for you.A bit of design story behind it. When we started Rune Dice, we prototyped long runs first, as most roguelikes do. But by the end of a run with a huge dice collection, the field became pure dice madness. It stopped mattering where you launched your dice, the chains just took over. So we shifted to short sessions to keep every throw meaningful, and that became the heart of the game. The thing is, we've had some great feedback over the past week from those of you hoping for longer runs. It sparked new ideas we hadn't considered before and pushed us to look at how long runs can actually work in our game without losing what makes the dice physics special. We're excited to build this and see where it goes! The current mode isn't going anywhere. Classic Mode will sit alongside it, available from the start, so you can pick whichever fits your mood that day.Give us about a week (two at most) and we'll launch a playtest with the new mode. We'd love to have you in it so we can balance it together until it feels right! Follow the buttons below to join our Discord.More soon.

First off, thank you all for the incredible reception this past week. Seeing rune dicers (yes, that's what we call you) jumping into runs, posting builds, and celebrating your wins has been the best part of launch.

Now, onto the news...

Classic Mode is on the way.

This is going to be an additional mode where runs play out the way they do in most roguelikes - longer sessions, deeper builds, all three locations in one go. For everyone who wants to take a single hero on a full journey and see how far a build can scale, this one is for you.
